Renjo-La via Nang-Pa La
For the beginners and the avid trekkers alike, Renjo-la pass trek is an ecstasy like no others. Reaching 5390m, the Renjo-La Pass via Nangpa-La trek takes the adventurer to the beautiful Everest region, with the beautiful verdure rhododendron forest to the view of the magnificent and sere Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse and several others which keep the trekkers begging for more.
Renjo-La via Nang-Pa La is one of the challenging routes in the Everest region, however Bomjan Treks expedition makes it possible for even the beginner to succeed in their first glory. The journey starts from Lukla from where we move to Namche Bazar. Following the magnificent Marulung, the trekkers are taken to the jaw dropping Nangpa Glacier. The High pass of Renjo La gives the explorers the sight of the beautiful Gokyo and the icy Himalayas. Although guarded by the Tibetian guards, it bears almost no hindrance for the trekkers.
Acclimatization can be your best friend as high altitude sickness even gets the best if not driven with caution. The explorers can take well up to 2-3 days of their entire trek adjusting to the altitude and it’s worth every moment. The entire trek can be completed in 14 days; however, beginners may take more to balance their trek with their health. The beautiful scenic mountain range, lush greenery and the chilling snow is what awaits everyone in this majestic Trek.

Day 01: Arrival in KTM, transfer to hotel
Our Office representative will be in International Airport to pick up you and transfer to Hotel. Orientation of the Trek and introduce with guide.
Day 02: Kathmandu–Lukla-Phakdhing Duration: 35 minute fly and 4 hrs walk
Early morning fly to Lukla and walk to Phakding. It will be good flight views with about 200 km panoramic views of eastern Himalayas. After flight, walk along the Sherpa villages green vegetations and high cultivations.
Day 03: Phakdhing - Namche Bazaar Duration: 6hrs
Crossing several bridges on Dudhkoshi River via Jorsalle and climb up to Namche Bazaar steep up with Everest views along the climb through the Pines forest and alpine flowers and arrived a touristy town Namche bazaar. It has Bakeries, Email service, Money exchange, equipment shops, Foods shops, SPCC office and Museum at Chrokang gives you good time.
Day 04: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar Duration: Whole day
This day can use for rest or explore round like to Khumjung, Thomo, or Khunde village above Namche bazaar and back to Namche over night.
Day 05: Namche Bazar –Thame, Duration: 5 hours walk
After breakfast we head west along the valley of the Bhote Koshi called Thame. It is situated at an important junction along the old primary trade route to and fro Tibet via the Nagpala Pass. Overnight at Thame.
Day 06: Thame-Langdhen, Duration: 5-6 hours walk
The walk is quite easy as the altitude is gained gradually with no steep sections to speak of along the way. The scenery is quite different from anything we had seen so far. The trail goes above the tree line and the landscape is one of vast expanses of dry barren land with distant white peaks on the horizon, it is almost desert-like. Lungden is just a group of lodges, not a true village.
Day 07: Lungdeng to Sumna Phug, Duration: 6-7 hours
We head to Sumna Phug after breakfast and may camp at Sumna phug cave at the convergence of the Sumna and Lunag glacier before the venture to Lunag or Kangchung.
Day 08: Sumna Phug to Kangchung
Today we walk the path that is rarely walked by the tourist visiting the Everest region.
Day 09: Kanchung to Nang Pa La Hike and back to Kanchung, Duration:7-8 hours to go and back
This is the hard day trek to and fro Nangpa La to the Tibetan border. Leaving very early we descend onto tthe rocky glacial moraine of the Nangpa Glacier. We continue our journey, until we don’t spot the prayers flag which mark the top of the Nangpa La and the border between Nepal and Tibet. The views are worth all the effort of the climb. Ahead we can look down and across onto the barren Tibetan Plateau. And finally we return to Kangchung the same way.
Day 10: Kanchung to Renjo la Base camp, Duration: 4-5 hours
Today trek is short and easy. Renjo La base camp is also known as Yak Kharka Camp which is situated below the Renjo La pass.
Day 11: Renjo La base camp to Gokyo Valley, Duration: 3-4 hours
The day starts real early as we have to walk to reach the pass, going slow because of the high altitude. After a brief stopover at the Renjo La Pass to enjoy the stunning beauty of the Everest Range and take photographs. We continue head to the village of Gokyo.
Day 12: Gokyo - Dragnag Duration: 4 hrs
Leaving Gokyo same path down and from the third lake turn to east over the Glacier and short walk to Dragnag over night.
Day 13: Dragnag- Cho La - Dzonglha Duration: 9hrs
This is the hard day on trek start early morning with pack lunch along the up hill and turn east with boulders and steep climbing up to pass. Pass always with ice, some time deep snow and than walk down to Dzonglha.
Day 14: Dzonglha – Lobuche Duration: 5 hrs.
Walk down southeast and turn to east north. From the trek Pheriche and Dhugla visible way south right hand side and good views of mountains surrounds. Walking along the Khumbu valley to Lobuche.
Day 15: Lobuche – EBC- Ghorakshep Duration: 9hrs
Walking in the Khumbu valley alongside of Khumbu Glacier and after Ghorakshep walking along the glacier or some time on glacier too. Hard catching breathes and spends some time at EBC than back to Ghorakshep.
Day 16: Gharak Shep– Kalaptthar (5550) Dingboche Duration: 7hrs
Wake up early morning and walk up to Kalapatter for Sun rise Views of Everest, Nupse, Lohtse, Pumori just above and Khumbutse and beautiful views of Khumbu Glaciar and back down to Lodge and walk down to Dingboche via Dhugla.
Day 17: Dingboche–Chhukung ri (5600m) -Dingboche Duration: All day
After breakfast start trek with just daypack gradual up hill to Chhukung (4700m) and steep climb up to Chhukung ri for 360 views of Himalayas, than walk down to Dhingboche over night. Also good trip to Glacier or to Imjatse valley trip makes good trip.
Day 18: Dingboche -Tengboche Duration: 6hrs
Leaving behind 360 views of high Himalayan ranges slow down to Diebuche via Pangboche and climb to Tengboche monastery one of the world Heritage site can be visit for self-purification. The original Gompa was built in 1916 but was destroyed by an earthquake in 1934.Disaster struck again, as the replacement building was burnt to the ground in 1989. The new monastery was finished in 1994 and has a library and cultural center plus a school, which educates about 30 young monks. This Gompa in part of Nyingmapa or red Hat sect.
Day 19: Tengboche – Namche Bazar Duration: 6hrs
Early morning good view of Mt Everest from just above the lodge and down hill treks goes to Phunki Tenga and climb back Namhce via Khumjung and Sansa and down to Namche Bazar for good lodge.
Day 20: Namche Bazar – Phakdhing Duration: 6hrs
Down hill through the Pine forest leaving behind Everest and cross the several bridge on the Dudkosi river greener vegetation and cultivation along the Sherpa villages.
Day 21: Phakdhing - Lukla Duration: 4hrs
Walking along the Dudkosi river and stay high passing couple villages and arrive at Lukla.
Day 22: Lukla - Kathmandu Duration: 35 minute
Early morning fly to Kathmandu and drive to Hotel.
Day 23: Free Day and Farewell dinner
Free Day and Farewell dinner in Kathmandu Enjoy the day in Kathmandu – Nepal ‘s capital city – and prepare for the next day’s back home.
