Trip Introduction

For the beginners and the avid trekkers alike, Renjo-la pass trek is an ecstasy like no others. Reaching 5390m, the Renjo-La Pass via Nangpa-La trek takes the adventurer to the beautiful Everest region, with the beautiful verdure rhododendron forest to the view of the magnificent and sere Mt. Everest, Makalu, Lhotse and several others which keep the trekkers begging for more.


Renjo-La via Nang-Pa La is one of the challenging routes in the Everest region, however Bomjan Treks expedition makes it possible for even the beginner to succeed in their first glory. The journey starts from Lukla from where we move to Namche Bazar. Following the magnificent Marulung, the trekkers are taken to the jaw dropping Nangpa Glacier. The High pass of Renjo La gives the explorers the sight of the beautiful Gokyo and the icy Himalayas. Although guarded by the Tibetian guards, it bears almost no hindrance for the trekkers.


Acclimatization can be your best friend as high altitude sickness even gets the best if not driven with caution. The explorers can take well up to 2-3 days of their entire trek adjusting to the altitude and it’s worth every moment. The entire trek can be completed in 14 days; however, beginners may take more to balance their trek with their health. The beautiful scenic mountain range, lush greenery and the chilling snow is what awaits everyone in this majestic Trek.

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu and meet our staff/crew at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Welcome drink and briefing about Trek, equipment check, relax.

Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla 2840m & trek to Phakding 2610m/3-4 hours,
Early in the morning we drive to the Airport and fly to Luka. After 45 minutes spectacular flight we arrive in Lukla and have breakfast and then continue our short ascents and descents trail passing many Buddhist monuments and finally we will reach in Phakding which takes about 3 hours. We have lunch there. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar 3440m/5-6 hours,
In the morning after breakfast we start from the Lodge and we reach Monjo after 3 hours walk passing many suspension bridges with good view of Mt. Thamserku and we must stamp our permit and have  lunch in Jorsalle. Then we start to climb steep up slowly passing the high suspension bridge over the Dudh Kosi River till reaching Namche Bazar which takes about 2 and half hours. In the evening time we got to visit the monastery of Namche village. We have a superb view of Khongde Himal, Thamserku and Kangaru Himal. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 4: Acclimatization Day, Hike to Everest View hotel and down to Khumjung and Khunde village for visiting Monasteries:
Today, we hike to Everest view hotel for a panoramic and spectacular view of the Solukhumbu mountains. It takes 2 hours to reach there and after 1 hour enjoying the superb view we climb down to Khumjung village to visit the monastery. It takes about 1 hour. We can see the Skull of the Yeti inside the Monastery. This is the biggest Sherpa village in the Khumbu region. Again we continue our trek to Khunde village which takes about 1 hour. We have lunch there and visit the old monastery and go back to Namche via Syangboche village. It takes about 1 and half hour. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 5: Trek from Namche to Thame 3800m/5-6 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, we continue our trek to Thamo passing  many Chhortens and Stupas on the trail which takes about 3 hours. We will make lunch break here. There is a monastery and we can visit if you wish. After lunch, the trail continues gradually up until reaching Thame village. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 6: Acclimatization Day,
There is also beautiful monastery above the village. We follow the delightful trail high on the valley side and visit monastery. We also hike above the Gompa and return back to campsite. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 7: Trek from Thame to Lumde 4368m/4-5 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, we climb over the moraine and gentle stroll ascent following a route used for centuries by the traders who ferried salt and grains across the Nangpa-La into Tibet until Lumde which takes about 4 hours. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 8: Trek from Lumde to Gokyo 4790m/7-8 hours, via Renjo-La 5360m,
A long day starts early in the morning. The trail ascends until reaching Renjo-La from where an eye-popping vista awaits. We will see the rooftops of Gokyo glinting distantly on the shore of the lake beneath the grey shimmer of the Ngozummpa Glacier, and the sawtooth peaks of Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse and Tawache which takes about 4 hours. Then we descend downhill till Gokyo. It takes about 3 hours. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 9: Trek from Gokyo to Gokyo-Ri 5360m to Dole 4120m/4-5 hours,
Early in the morning you hike to Gokyo-Ri 5360m. The trail steep ascends until reaching Gokyo-Ri which takes about 2 and half hour. This is another super view point after Kala Pathar. You have an excellent view of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, Pumori, Amadablam and other peaks. You have also an unobstructed view of Sunrise and sunset. After that you steeply climb down to the hotel. It takes about 1 and half hour and you have breakfast. Then you continue thedescent upstream of Dudh Kosi River till Machhermo which takes about 2 hours. You have lunch break here. After lunch, then the trail again descends until to reaching Dole. It takes about 2 and half hour. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 10: Trek from Dole to Namche 3440m/5-6 hours,
In the morning after breakfast, you walk descending till Phortse Thanga, it takes about 1 and half hour. Then the trail steepl ascends until reaching Mongla which takes about 1and half hour. Then you continue your trek keep gently descending till Kyangjuma. It takes about 1 and half hour. You have lunch here. After lunch, you continue passing the Stupa until Namche Bazaar which takes about 1 and half hour. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 11: Trek from Namche to Lukla 2840m/6-7 hours,
In the morning, you leave the Namche Bazar the trail descents through pine trees and cross the high suspension bridge over the Dudh Kosi River. Then the trail continues at the River side and you arrive in Jorsalle, it takes about 2 and half hours. You continue again your trek until  Phakding with crossing several bridges . You have your lunch there. After lunch your trail continues until Lukla with passing up and down which takes about 2 hours. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 12: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
You fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu early in the morning which takes about 45 minutes. Then transfer to Hotel by private car. Refresh and relax. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 13: Buffer day in case of flight cancelled and free day for shopping in thamel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 14: After breakfast or at your desired time transfer to International Airport.
