Trip Introduction

Despite being a non-tourist location, the trek to the Arun valley is grand. With the beautiful and majestic mountains like Everest (8848m) and Makalu (8481m) right in front of your eyes, the travelers couldn’t ask for more, but they definitely do get. The beautiful of the deepest valley in the world- Arun Valley, the tranquility of nature along with the ever present wilderness surround the trekkers in this beautiful Lower Arun Valley Trek. The trek itself lies between two of the highest peak in the world Mount Everest and Mount Makalu which makes it one of the best trek in Nepal.


The highest altitude, however, is rather low at 3800m but it does not make the trek any less interesting. Travelers can make the best out of the dense forest, snow-capped mountains, icy winds and the wild lands. The trek is rated as easy and even novice trekkers can enjoy the scenic beauty without any trouble. The journey starts after the flight to Tumlingtar from Kathmandu from where the trekkers have to go on foot. The adventurers can enjoy the beauty of diverse locations such has Salpa Phedi, Kiraunle Gompa,  Gai Kharka, etc. along with other natural exquisiteness.


The duration of the trip is up to 15 days and Bomjan Treks and Expedition ensure that every trekker would get the best out of this trip. The ideal time for travel would be October-December and February-May. Travelers have to travel for around 5-6 hours a day. Although not visited by tourists, Lower Arun Valley trek remains one of the most beautiful treks around.


Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Full day valley sightseeing tour and necessary preparation for the trek
Day 03: Kathmandu by flight to Tumlingtar. Overnight at Tumlingtar.
Day 04: Tumlingtar trek to Chyawabesi. Overnight at Chyawabesi (280m).
Day 05: Chyawabesi trek to Kothe. Overnight at Kothe.
Day 06: Kothe trek to Salpa phedi. Overnight at Salpa phedi (1680m).
Day 07: Salpa phedi trke to Sanam (2850m) via Guranse.
Day 08: Sanam trke to Bung. Overnight at Bung (1900m).
Day 09: Bung trek to Gai kharka. Overnight at Gai kharka (2300m).
Day 10: Gai kharka trke to Puiyan. Overnight at Puiyan (2230m).
Day 11: Puiyan trek to Lukla.
Day 12: Flight: Lukla – Kathmandu.
Day 13: Free day to explore, and enjoy Kathmandu.
Day 14: Final Departure to your onwards destination.
