Trip Introduction

The Annapurna Base camp trek starts from Pokhara. Trekkers take a bus or a jeep to Ghandruk from where they start their trek. They can choose two options- either to go from Poon Hill region, witnessing the jaw-dropping sunrise or another way from Chumrung with the cold icy river and the journey uphill to the beautiful Chomrong. There are several inns on the way, each at a distance of around 2 hours walk. Adventurers can rest as per their convenience in Sinua, Dovan, Bamboo or Deurali and take another day excess to fully enjoy their journey.

The beautiful grassland awaits the trekkers after day’s long trek though the forests and at times, they can even witness the unique ice cave forming.September- November and March-May are the best time to travel and the snow filled roads making the journey even more memorable. Near the end to ABC, the view of Mount Macchapuchrey keeps the travellers at bay with its chilly air and the majestic peak too grandeur for the eyes to witness. Every trekker has a dissonance in their mind. On one hand, they want to reach the Annapurna Base Camp to see the famous sunrise reflecting upon the glorious Annapurna range. On the other, they want their journey to continue forever and enjoy the beauty that nature has to offer.

Tourists can even take full benefit of the natural hot spring located in Jhinu Danda, one of the side highlights of the journey. Each day the trekker has to walk for around 10 hours which goes by pretty soon as you start.

The trek is rather short compared to other and is rated as easy to medium difficulty. Even beginners can fully enjoy the view and it does not take much physical fitness to complete. Even amateur trekkers can finish the trek in a week although, in order to take full advantage of the journey, they can take few days extra. Garlic can be your friend as high altitude sickness may strike uninvited. Although a day of acclimatization is advised, there is no real unless the trekker has any asthmatic problem or suffering from high blood pressure. So, come enjoy the trek with Bomzan Nepal Treks and Expedition and spend the time of your life.
