The Kathmandu Sightseeing tour is basically a two-day experience but can be extended as per the need. On the first day, we explore the beauty of the UNESCO /world Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath, and Patan Durbar Square.
Attractions in Kathmandu Durbar Square include the Hanuman Dhoka complex, chowks and courtyards Mahendra Museum, several temples and the palace of Kumari where the only living Goddess in the world lives. Swyanambutnah is a golden spire of the 5th century and a recognizable symbol in Kathmandu, situated atop a hill overlooking the valley. Statues of Buddhist and Hindu deities make the aura of the complex an extremely positive one.
Patan Durbar Square is home to attractions like the grandeur of Krishna Mandir, the Bhimsen Temple, Manga Hiti, Golden Temple, Vishwanath Temple and much more. On the other day, we visit the sacred Hindu pilgrimage site of Pashupatinath, standing proud and tall beside the sacred Bagmati River.
After witnessing the views of the mighty complex of the abode or Lord Shiva, the Pashupatinath, we further move on to explore one of the largest stupas in South Asia, the Boudhanath. The stupa is located on the ancient trade route with Tibet and is also named as “Little Tibet” because of the abundance of gompas and stupas it holds. The last yet the most beautiful place to visit are the Bhaktapur Durbar Square. The Durbar square is a perfect amalgamation of pagoda and shikhara style temples and the major attractions are the Golden Gate, the 55 Window Palace, the Nyatapola Temple, and several other smaller temples which form a well-orchestrated symphony.
